CITIZEN RESPONSE TO ACTIVE SHOOTING'S AND AGGRESSIVE DEADLY BEHAVIOR INCIDENTS WORKSHOP

This citizens response workshop will prepare your staff on what to do when you are confronted with an Active Shooter or an Aggressive Deadly Behavior Incident at your workplace, school or house of worship. Statistics state that at every recent major deadly incident has proven to show that people who are present at the incident are the true first responders and will have the most impact on the saving victim's lives. This course will teach proven strategies and best practices to guide individuals in concepts of:

1. Event survival

2. First aid & treatment options

3. Actions that can be taken to assist responding Law Enforcement, Fire and EMS personnel

NATIONAL ASSOCIATION OF EMERGENCY MEDICAL TECHNICIANS - TACTICAL EMERGENCY CASUALTY CARE




NAEMT's Tactical Emergency Casualty Care (TECC) teaches EMS practitioners and other prehospital providers how to respond to and care for patients in a civilian tactical environment. It is designed to decrease preventable deaths in a tactical situation. The course course covers the following topics:

  • Hemorrhage control;
  • Surgical airway control and needle decompression;
  • Strategies for treating wounded responders in threatening environments;
  • Caring for pediatric patients; and
  • Techniques for dragging and carrying victims to safety.

ABOUT OUR TACTICAL TRAINING STAFF

AURA has instructional tactical staff members with significant field experience, who work in various agencies throughout the United States. Most of the teams members have worked within the New York City area for the New York City Fire Department (Bureau of EMS, Fire Operations and the Counter Terrorism Task Force) and the New York City Police Department (Emergency Service Unit/SWAT, Strategic Response Group). In addition, our staff serve in various roles in the United States Armed Forces and past military deployments.
